Absolutely stellar meal for 19 Euros. I was completely overwhelmed by the flavor and the service. The food is a three meal course that can easily be shared with four people. I had to take some of it to go because it was so good. I highly recommend anyone coming to Leon to try cocido which is a dish in this city. I think it was so delicious and the service was amazing. Don’t be fooled by it being the only thing on the menu. It’s going to blow your mind!

Fantastic food, central location, very good treatment! Some clarification for the non-Spanish speakers. Basically this is a specialized restaurant - you won't have a choice of food, you will have to go for the cocido maragato desert. I've posted some fotos for you to know what to expect. Cocido is a stew - meat, sausages, bacon, chickpeas, a bit of vermicelli [long slender pasta] - typically served as 2 dishes: soup with vermicelli and meat with chickpeas. Cocido maragato is served as 3 dishes and in reversed order: meat -\u003e chickpeaks -\u003e soup. Restaurant has a very decent wine card. Be sure to accompany cocido with a good Ribera or a local red wine. Ah...an all this for a more than reasonable price!

Hemos pedido el cocido para comer en casa y fenomenal. Con consejos para servir los platos en casa. Una sopa muy sabrosa, te envían el caldo y a parte, los fideos sin cocinar, es una idea fantástica, se cocinan en 5 minutos en casa, y así no se pasan. La berza espectacular y los garbanzos suaves y cremosos. Una gran variedad de carnes, ricas, jugosas. Y las natillas con bizcocho también con muy buen sabor.
Muy recomendable. Cocido maragato en una ubicación preciosa de León (Plaza Mayor). Atención muy cuidada por un personal que se esmera por hacerte sentir cómodo, además de saber ofrecer el producto con detalle. Recomiendo reservar, sobre todo en fin de semana. Gracias!!
